Welcome to the Rotary Club of Kahului, Maui! Please come visit us. We are in our 65 th year of honoring a rich tradition of Service Above Self. Aloha and Welcome to the Rotary Club of Kahului! This year is by far the toughest for everyone around the world. COVID-19 has pushed, or perhaps more appropriately put, “kicked” each one of us out of our comfort zones. Just before the whole world went under lockdown, over 600 incoming Presidents from Rotary’s Far West Region met in San Jose, California at the annual Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) for the Far West U.S. District, one of the most highly regarded training programs for incoming Presidents-Elect (PEs). Meeting other PEs and sharing ideas of what each of our clubs’ future was going to be like was an incredible experience! Unfortunately, no one expected the changes that would affect each one of us and our Rotarian Brothers and Sisters around the world. Our annual Palaka Awards event was canceled due to the pandemic. We want to assure our community partners and supporters that we will continue to look for ways to raise money to provide scholarships for our students and future leaders. Rotary International President Holger Knaak’s theme this year is Rotary Opens Opportunities . You can bet that Rotarians around the world are creating opportunities and continuing to serve our communities. Our mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. Our vision is TOGETHER, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. We look forward to continue serving our Community.
